Sneaky Heat Spicy Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked and cooled jasmine rice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as peas, carrots, and corn)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Uncle Jay’s Premium Sneaky Heat hot sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, and sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the empty side. Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble until fully cooked.
- Mix the scrambled eggs with the vegetables and add the cooked rice to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Pour in the soy sauce, Uncle Jay’s Premium Sneaky Heat hot sauce, and oyster sauce (if using). Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the rice is evenly coated and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions.
