Sneaky Heat Spicy Fried Rice

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked and cooled jasmine rice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as peas, carrots, and corn)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Uncle Jay’s Premium Sneaky Heat hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, and sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender.
  3. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the empty side. Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble until fully cooked.
  4. Mix the scrambled eggs with the vegetables and add the cooked rice to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce, Uncle Jay’s Premium Sneaky Heat hot sauce, and oyster sauce (if using). Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the rice is evenly coated and heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions.
  7. Serve hot, and enjoy the spicy kick from the Sneaky Heat sauce!
